Bio

Since 2008, West Virginia based emcee, Foz Rotten, has worked with some of the mountain state’s finest musicians to create his unique brand of “Alternative Hip-Hop”.
His solo work has included two E.P.’s, a spoken word “Myspace Exclusive” album, a full length Mixtape, and most recently a career spanning compilation album entitled “The First Four Years”.
In the summer of 2012, Rotten pulled together a group of fellow veterans of the WV music scene to form together a new band, Foz Rotten & His Dirty Scoundrels.
Not just a new backing band, that would perform live with him, but a fully realized, unique, living and breathing entity all it’s own.
Featuring some familiar faces from past projects, the band consists of Dustin Dillon, better known as Swamp Rat, a respected solo artist in his own right, who teamed up and co-wrote the first Foz Rotten release, “The Appalachian Folk-Hop (EP)”.
Andrew Buckner is another recognizable face, writing and playing with Foz on his second release, “The Teaser (EP)”. Foz and Andy have a long standing history, playing in multiple bands together over the years, most notably the Indie Rock/Hip-Hop group, Westerberg High, and most recently the Acoustic Punk trio, Eighty Three Eighty.
Rounding out the new group is Zach Adkins, who while a newcomer to the Foz camp, has been making his rounds in the WV music scene since a young age, and has garnered a reputation for being one of the finest bass players in the area.
Currently writing a new album, the band is hitting the road hard, playing consistently throughout the tri-state area and beyond. Driven by emotionally charged songs, telling stories ranging from comedic to heart breaking, the band puts its collective years of experience and a D.I.Y. outlook into making sure each performance will be one never to be forgotten.
A relentless drive, high energy performances, crowd filled sing-a-longs, and an ability to grab the attention of even the most casual onlooker, has garnered Foz Rotten & His Dirty Scoundrels a reputation as one of the most entertaining bands in the area.
With a new record in the works, and a non stop list of show dates, Foz Rotten & His Dirty Scoundrels are always looking for the next step, and new opportunities to bring their music to as many people as possible.
On a mission to bring their unique style of “Alternative Hip-Hop” to the world wide, the band will be making 2013 a year to remember.
